The uniCOS Contributor unit is a flush-mount station that can be configured as a delegate- or chairman unit.

Touch screen

The capacitive 7” touch screen adds interactivity to the conference system and offers a tablet-like feel for the user. Single tap, double tap, flick, scroll and pinch to zoom are control gestures that most of us have grown to be accustomed with. Hence working with the system feels natural and should not require training. The interface is intuitive and it gives access to a range of functionalities such as: video selection, delegate information, agenda, voting, messaging and more.

Easy cleaning and disinfecting

We all know how smudged a tablet or iPad looks like after a few hours of use. A conference system is used by many different people so the integrated touch screen really should be easy to clean and disinfect.

The uniCOS unit has been designed with the screen slightly elevatedabove the base surface so that it appears to float. The edges of the screen are completely bezel-free, preventing dust, grease or germs to accumulate near the corners or edges.

Hence the uniCOS touchscreen can be cleaned with a single wipe.

Low latency video

The uniCOS system allows low latency, HD resolution video to be transported over the conference bus. The delegates can watch a close-up of the speaker or see other video material in pristine picture quality. The transport delay added by the uniCOS system is negligible so lip-sync can be preserved when looking at a live image from the conference room

Interactivity and Multimedia

The uniCOS system offers the delegate a multitude of possibilities,enriching the meeting experience and making the meeting more efficient.

Delegates can see video from live cameras or pre-recorded sources, check speaker bio, consult the meeting agenda, vote using the touch screen, send messages to other delegates and browse through documents that are supporting the discussion.

Rich Sound Reproduction

The uniCOS system includes Televic's 'Rich Sound Processing', producing the natural sound and tonality that are so well known from Televic systems. No compromises are made in bandwidth, power and speaker performance so that voices are reproduced in a natural way. This makes listening to a discussion more enjoyable and reduces fatigue caused by listening to unnatural or 'nasal' sounding systems.

Gooseneck Microphone

The uniCOS unit is made to be equipped with a gooseneck microphone. A well considered choice that supports the 'no compromise' approach. Compared to other microphone technologies, the gooseneck microphone offers the best directivity and sensitivity while picking up very little ambient noise. A characteristic well appreciated by interpreters.
