The Vita-15A Sub is an active 15-inch subwoofer system featuring onboard ampli?cation, DSP processing and integrated rigging. The ampli?er is a class D design with integrated Switch Mode Power Supply that delivers 1,000 watts continuous while allowing cool operation and very low weight. The ampli?er’s DSP section features a single input and output with adjustable gain knob that also provides 5 factory presets for precision system tuning. All connections to the ampli?er are made with Neutrik powerCON and XLRs for long useful life. The 15-inch woofer is the P.Audio GM15-100F featuring a large-diameter ferrite magnet and a 4-inch voice coil. The woofer’s cone uses a waterproof coating which has the added bene?t of adding strength and rigidity to the cone assembly. The woofer was developed using FEM techniques to optimize motor strength and ensure low distortion performance. The system’s rigging is designed to be as simple as possible, featuring a single pin set up at the rear of the enclosure to set its angle. The enclosure is constructed of 15 mm tour-grade plywood with a highly durable polyurea coating. All of the rigging is made from structural steel with powder coating to ensure longevity. The Vita-15A Sub ids designed to be used in conjunction with the Vita-6A system for maximum performance in a ratio of 2 x Vita-6A to 1 x Vita-15A Sub.
