The TURBOSOUND NuQ PRO NuQ152 is a switchable active/passive 2,000 Watt two way full range loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide range of portable speech and music sound reinforcement applications. The NuQ152 is designed to work in conjunction with TURBOSOUND loudspeaker management systems, providing the optimum performance for FOH, side fill and monitor applications as well as offering considerable flexibility to readily adapt to varying venue requirements.
The NuQ152 loudspeaker features a carbon fibre loaded 15" low frequency driver with inside/outside wound coil with low mass voice coil for improved transient response and an aluminium dome 1.4" neodymium motor high frequency compression driver on a rotatable 80° horizontal by 50° vertical Converging Elliptical Waveguide matched with an internal passive crossover network in a reflex-loaded enclosure. The waveguide can be rotated through 90° within the enclosure, allowing a swap of the horizontal and vertical coverage patterns. Bi-amp mode can be enabled by means of a rear panel switch.
The cabinet is constructed from 15 mm (5/8") birch plywood and includes a rugged powder coated perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Two recessed flush handles are provided for easy handling and it is finished in hard wearing semi matt black or optional white paint. Its symmetrical cabinet shape, together with the possibility to rotate the HF horn pattern, creates an additional role as mirrored left/right monitor wedges and lip-fill applications. The cabinet includes internal M10 and M8 threaded rigging points for use with TURBOSOUND wall and ceiling brackets and OmniMount* brackets and optional flying yokes and swivel brackets, and a pole mount socket allowing it to be permanently installed or mounted on 35 mm straight poles or speaker stands. A rear panel connector plate carries two Neutrik speakON* NL4 connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures.
