The TURBOSOUND DUBLIN TCX152 is a passive 1,400 Watt full range two way loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide range of installed music sound reinforcement applications. It consists of a high excursion 15" reflex-loaded low frequency driver with low mass voice coil for improved transient response and a 1" high temperature dome compression driver with extended high frequency reproduction on a rotatable 90° horizontal by 60° vertical Converging Elliptical Waveguide in a trapezoidal enclosure. These high grade components are matched with an internal passive crossover network.

When permanently installed the cabinet presents a discreet appearance with no visible side handles to enable visually unobtrusive loudspeaker arrays, while for portable applications the pole mount blanking plug can be removed for use with speaker stands and poles, and a single carrying handle is provided for transportation. The wide dispersion Converging Elliptical Waveguide generates a smooth wavefront while giving excellent pattern control and can be rotated through 90° within the cabinet, so allowing a swap of the horizontal and vertical dispersion patterns. This feature is especially useful to retain the wide horizontal dispersion when mounting the cabinet horizontally in venues where ceiling height is limited.

The cabinet includes internal M10, M8 and M6 threaded rigging points for use with TURBOSOUND wall and ceiling brackets, and provides compatibility with OmniMount* loudspeaker mounting brackets. Constructed from 5/8" (15 mm) birch plywood, the cabinet is finished in hard wearing semi matt black or optional white textured paint. A perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam protects the drive units from damage. The rear connector panel provides two Neutrik speakON* NL4 connectors for input and link functions, wired in parallel with a 4-way barrier strip connector.

A weather resistant version is available rated to IP54 comprising moisture treated woodwork, weatherised components, plated and outdoor powder coated grille with reticulated foam backing, stainless steel fixings, and a captive cable tail secured through a sealed cable gland on an aluminium panel. Additionally, external handles and the pole mount socket are omitted in order to provide a sealed enclosure and prevent the ingress of water or moisture.
